I would highly recommend Chesapeake Electric and would use them again in the future. They were able to provide me next day service. Gary came out early and actually took the time to diagnose my problem as well as look around my house for any other electrical needs I might have but not be aware of. I've had 2 other electricians out to my house in the past 6 months that pushed my issue off on appliance problems and barely even looked at my electrical panel. Gary pinpointed what was wrong, explained the situation to me, and replaced the breaker, wiring, and outlet same day. Excellent customer service!

My technician Gary was very thorough in his top-to-bottom inspection of my new (to me) home and took great care to point out and explain any potential safety issues. I cannot yet afford to everything that I *want* to do to in my home, but he made sure to point out and help prioritize anything that I *need* to do. I will have them back when I’m ready to carry out the rest of my home renovations!

Cody, Derek and Shannon were absolutely wonderful. They came out put 110% in and I feel so much more comfortable now since I have a four year-old grandson that they have fixed my home to make it feel more safe.

I was very happy with Brandon and Terry. They explained their tasks, ensuring I understood, and answered questions I had. Brandon showed that he was a great lead by listening to a suggestion his apprentice, Terry, had; implemented the suggestion; and told Terry that his suggestion was a good one. Brandon also passed this on to his supervisor. They ensured to clean up afterward and did a walk through with me to make sure everything was resolved and to my satisfaction.

The technician was great and very professional. In my opinion Chesapeake’s services are quite expensive. Single room (or circuit) diagnostic $330. Estimate to replace one $50 GFCI was over $300.

Very nice guys who took their time doing the work. They also gave me a quote on future work. I would have given 5 stars, but I’m not totally satisfied with the fixtures not being flush with the ceiling. After looking at the websites that displayed the lights, none of them hang down like mine are currently. I would appreciate a follow up appointment to see if this can be fixed, as caulking would still not give me the aesthetic that I was looking for. Update: Chesapeake Electric came back out within a week to assess and correct the install. It’s beautiful and I appreciate the transparency and dedication to customer satisfaction. They earned the 5 stars and me as a customer who will not only use them again, but will recommend them to anyone else who could use their services.

Derek and crew did a very good and very professional job. He kept me posted along the way and explained things thoroughly. He helped me in laying out the light pattern on my dock, but more importantly, instilled the trust that I know that the job was done right. I would highly recommend him again.

The service provided by Chesapeake was very professional and friendly. I was appreciative of the technicians attention to detail and they took excellent care of my home. There was some necessary drywall intrusion with my work, but they kept it as minimal as possible and did an excellent job restoring it with drywall screws. It will be a quick fix to patch it later. Punctuality was great and all materials are top notch. Will be utilizing them for future needs.

Had an almost fire caused from our dryer outlet. Called Chesapeake to have them come help me safely replace the problem. They were able to come out the very next day and fix the problem. Cristian is not only a true professional but he’s also the KINDEST technician I’ve ever met! He took his time assessing and explaining the work to be performed before even starting. During the installation of the ceiling fan, he realized he needed an additional part (due to the location of the fan) and made a quick run to a hardware store to purchase, returned quickly and finished the job. hope to be able to by name request him for all future electrical work. Mike Green with Chesapeake Electric came out on Monday and provided excellent service. Initially it was a site visit to set up for another electrician to come out and complete the work but Mike was able to see that it wasn’t much and completed the job same day. The service was good. There was a bit of a snafu with the scheduling but the dispatcher quickly made it right. The job was to replace 5 standard switches with smart switches. It proved to be trickier than expected but both Cody and his apprentice (I feel bad for not remembering his name) both worked it out. In the end, all of the switches are working as expected.

This was my 1st time having to deal with an electrician at all, so I was inexperienced and apprehensive. All The staff was friendly, kind, & understanding enough to fit me in last minute… Incredible! All I can say, is that I took a chance, with no knowledge or references, & couldn’t have had a better experience! Technician Ryan was not only on time and kindly professional, & extremely knowledgeable, he was “exceptional, across the board”, so thank you Ryan, I couldn’t be more grateful! Put in some great puck lights after a consult on how to better light the kitchen. The tech was professional and while costs have gone up recently (like everywhere else), they are worth it.

We had Gary as our electrician to help us out. And we were happy as he is knowledgeable, kind, and polite. I loved how he gave us updates of what he was doing, not only with the electric, but letting us know where he would be in the house and if he was going to his truck, etc. He was good at explaining things I didn’t understand, and wore booties around the house to make sure he didn’t track any dirt or bring germs in the house. We had electrical outlets that stopped working in one corner of our home on two floors. We found Chesapeake Electric on the Thumbtack app. Zachary was our electrician. Zachary thoroughly assessed which areas were affected before starting to work. (Our home is old and the circuitry is original.) He was extremely patient with reiterating what needed to be done and answering all of our questions. The job was expected to take several hours. As part of the job we had both inside and outside (covering uncovered outlets) work done. Zackary moved furniture to work and returned it to its original place; cleaned up work spaces; readily and regularly communicated. We will work with Chesapeake and Zackary again!

Mr. Gary was extremely helpful and efficient. He shared with me things that he recommended I do, different ways to save on everything I wanted to do, but most of all, handled what I originally called for in a way that exceeded my expectations. All of the vendors we've had from Chesapeake Electric are top notch.

Ethan was amazing and helped us out a lot! We had a lot of electrical issues in our house and needed both upgrades and repairs to our electrical system. Nathan came the same day we contacted the company and he did a thorough investigation of the system, gave us several good quotes and walked us through the whole process. We also needed a new pool pump wired in time for the holiday and he fixed that right away even though the pump turned out to be missing vital hardware. Great guy and definitely our new go-to-electrician.

Ian with Chesapeake Electric was awesome! He was on time, polite, professional and efficient. He even called ahead to give me his expected arrival time. He replaced a circuit on the electrical panel, sealed the wiring coming from outside into the house, and replaced a light fixture. He explained everything clearly before, during and after his work and answered my questions. He took his time to explain the items that needed to be fixed and suggestions for safety upgrades. I highly recommend Chesapeake Electric! The person who made the appointment was also polite and professional. The company provided a name, picture, and short description of Ian’s electrical background prior to his arrival. Excellent customer service! Very reasonably priced!

Chesapeake Electric is terrific. Russell was professional, did a great job, friendly, cleaned up after himself. He gets a 10!

Unknown fault was tripping the breaker. The circuit ran the porch fan, lights, and roof spotlights. We’ve had two remodelings in that area and the wiring was less than professional. Derrick had to isolate the fault which was crazy to find. Turned out that squirrels had chewed through the wire insulation over three feet of wire causing the fault. The “fix” was converting the old 20 amp wiring to three new circuits with new junction box and three new breakers. Derrick kept at it until it was done right. Thanks Derrick.

We had an entire room with no outlets that would work. Turns out we had a bad breaker switch. Ian was very well informed and gave us many options. The job was done quickly and we can now finally use our outlets again!

The experience my family encountered was nothing but exceptional. Mr. Zachary was here three days and was joined on the second day by Mr. Terry. The two gentlemen were very professional with good manners. They wvery polite and courteous. The knowledge displayed by these two gentlemen were admirable. You never heard the two of them playing around or wasting time. At the end of each day they informed you what was accomplished that day and what will be done the next day.
